New poster for Lucasfilm’s STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE

Over the weekend, Lucasfilm released a new trailer for The Acolyte to celebrate Star Wars Day. There was a good amount of new footage shared in that trailer.

For those of you who went to see the re-release of The Phantom Menace in theaters this weekend, there was a preview of The Acolyte shared that showed a fight scene between Amanda SteinbergThe character who kills Jedi and Carrie-Anne Mossthe Jedi character.

Today we have a new poster to share with you featuring all the main characters from the series, including the mysterious new villain revealed in the recent trailer.

I know some fans aren’t thrilled with this show, but Carrie Anne Moss plays a badass Jedi character on this show, and I’m ready!

The story is described as “a mystery thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.” The High Republic is set 100 years before the start of the Skywalker Saga.

Amanda Steinberg plays a former Padawan and a dangerous warrior who hunts and kills Jedi.

In The Acolyte, “An investigation into a shocking crime wave pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg). As new clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal that all is not what it seems….”

Showrunner Leslye Promontory he promises it The Acolyte it will be “full” of nods to practically every era Star Wars.

The series is also the protagonist Squid game‘S Lee Jung Jae plays Jedi Master Sol, Manny Giacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margherita Levieva, Joonas SuotamoAND Amy Tsang.

The Acolyte will have eight episodes total, with Headland, Garcia Lopez and Kogonada directing the series’ episodes. The premiere is scheduled for June 4, 2024 on Disney+.
