Paul Rudd (Ant man) AND Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) will star in a musical comedy entitled Power ballad. The film comes from Once AND Sing Away director John Carney.
The film will tell the story of “a wedding singer (Rudd), a rock star (Jonas) and the song that comes between them.”
Carney, who is currently filming the film in Dublin, said in a statement: “I’m delighted to be working with so many amazing people. I’ve been working on this script with my friend Peter for years, and now Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas are in my kitchen.”
WME’s Alex Walton added: “We are so excited to bring John Carney’s next film to Cannes. John has the magical ability to weave great music with wonderfully engaging and universally relatable stories that resonate with audiences.”
He added: “Power Ballad is funny and moving – themes audiences crave today. His unique vision, combined with the global appeal of Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas, will give shoppers exactly what they are looking for.”
