Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. celebrate the recovery of their AVENGERS co-star Jeremy Renner

It’s been over a year since the news broke about that Marvel actor Jeremy Renner had a near-fatal accident with a snowplow, where he suffered injuries that included eight broken ribs in 14 places; broken right knee and right ankle; left leg – broken tibia; broken left ankle; broken right clavicle; broken right shoulder; facial eye socket, maxilla and mandible injuries; collapsed lung, perforated from rib to liver; and more.

He was in critical condition, and even after immediate surgery, his family and friends were unsure whether he would make it or not.

He has since made a miraculous full recovery, and his Avengers co-stars, Chris Hemsworth AND Robert Downey Junior. they sing his praises. They said it in a new interview with Vanity Fair that the crew is still in contact with each other via a group message chain, which is how they initially learned of Renner’s accident.

Hemsworth said:

“He sent all of us a sort of drugged-up, hospitalized, beat-up image and said, ‘It’s all good, guys.’ And then I didn’t hear from her for a while because she was in the middle of the situation.”

Renner attended Chris Evans’ wedding in Cape Cod in September last year, where everyone praised him for his health progress.

Downey said:

“If there is one characteristic that we all agree is fundamental, it is resilience. Seeing Renner embody that literally and in the context of what was basically a Portuguese-American wedding was mind-blowing. Fully recovered and ready to celebrate. So yes, miracles happen.

Hemsworth added: “There was an extraordinary sense of gratitude on his part for just being alive.” You should have a newfound sense of gratitude and a raw awareness of how precious and fragile life is after coming out of something like this. I’m happy Renner is healthy and good vibes abound.
