Netflix has announced that they are developing a live-action Scooby-Doo series for the streamer. The hour-long drama project is said to be close to a deal with the streamer with a script-to-series commitment.
Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, other than the fact that it will be based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Warner Bros. Television will produce the film, having recently launched the “Dead Boys Detectives” series on Netflix.
Josh Appelbaum AND Scott Rosenberg serve as writers and will also executive produce together André Nemec AND Jeff Pinkner under their Midnight Radio banner.
Greg Berlanti, Sarah SchecherAND Leigh London Redman will executive produce via Berlanti Productions (the company is currently under an overall deal with WBTV). Jonathan Gabay by Berlanti Produzioni e Adriana Erickson will be co-executive producer.
There have been a lot of them Scooby-Doo live-action and animated projects over the years, everyone from fan favorites to villains. This looks like it could be a fun new take on the property.
