Sony Release Date Changes: Moving KRAVEN THE HUNTER to December and KARATE KID to Summer 2025

Sony has rearranged some titles in its list of upcoming films, including the reboot of Karate Kid from the original release date of December 13 this year, to May 30, 2025. The film will now follow the sixth and final season of Cobra Kaidelayed due to strike.

This beats Sony/Marvel Kraven the Hunter, which runs from August 30th to December 13th. THE Aaron Taylor-Johnson film, directed by JC Chandorwill have Imax and PLF screens. Kraven the Hunter will be the only R-rated film during the holidays and will go up against the Warner Bros. animated film The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War.

Added to the release calendar is the Blumhouse title They listenwhich this year will cover the four-day Labor Day weekend. The only other broad entry during the holiday is “Roadside Attractions” Mohit Ramchandani-direct title City of dreams.

Legendary/Sony’s animated film will debut next summer Animal friends on August 15, 2025, with the voices of Jason Momoa, Ryan Reynolds, Aubrey Plaza AND Dan Levy among others. It already is on that date By Timur Bekmambetov science fiction Chris Pratt-Rebecca Ferguson movie Mercy.
