Samuel Goldwyn Films has released a trailer for another shark attack horror thriller film titled Something in the water. The film comes with the tagline: “This summer, fear will find new depths.”
In the film, “An idyllic wedding turns into a battle for survival in this emotionally charged action thriller.” The dream wedding turns deadly when five friends are forced to face their fears and brave the open waters.
The story follows Meg (Hiftu Quasem), “who is temporarily attending the wedding of her old friend Lizzie (Lauren Lyle) in the Caribbean together with his friends Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart), plus his ex-partner Kayla (Natalie Mitson) from whom he separated after they both survived a deeply traumatic event.
The film comes from the VFX artist turned director Hayley Easton Streetand it looks like almost every other shark attack movie that has been made.
The film will be released in theaters and on VOD on May 3, 2024.
