Car Jitsu is a real sport and sees jiu-jitsu competitors fight inside a car, using everything at their disposal to make the other competitor beat.
The sport began in Russia but has since made its way to the United States and Car Jitsu championship fights are now held! They even try to strangle each other with seatbelts!
Vik Mikheev, who holds a doctorate in mathematics and black belts in both Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo, created the sport in 2020 with his friends.
He said: “In 2020, I came up with the idea of doing competitive vehicle grappling. Since October 2020, my friends and I have been organizing small Car Jitsu tournaments to study aspects of applying jiu-jitsu in such a small space.”
You can watch some of the championship fights in the video below! It’s so wild that this is a real sport!
