Zack Snyder he recently revealed it Leonardo Dicaprio he almost played Lex Luthor Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Not only that, but it also kicked off one of the main storylines Justice League.
DiCaprio has never appeared in a superhero movie, but it seems like Batman vs. Superman it was the closest he came to joining one.
During a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Snyder talked about meeting DiCaprio to play the villain, a role that ultimately went to Jesse Eisenberg.
Snyder said: “Leonardo DiCaprio, I talked about it. I think DiCaprio had a lot of great ideas just in the meeting. I think he finally said, “I don’t know.” But he was really smart about the material and really smart about the character.
Snyder then noted how DiCaprio was the one who gave him the idea to see Superman fight the Justice League.
The director continued: “I think so [DiCaprio] he was the one who at one point mentioned this idea of Superman fighting the Justice League to me. I thought, “OK, okay then.” I’ll put it over there.'”
