Keanu Reeves would have signed on for Voice Shadow in SONIC 3

Several months ago I saw some rumors start to appear about this Keanu Reeves was in talks to play Shadow in Sonic 3. These rumors had come before Hayden Christensen’s name came up and it was believed that Christensen would voice the character.

Previously there was talk of the involvement of Shadow, the film’s co-writer Pat Casey he said that Shadow was introduced into the franchise primarily because of his popularity and also what he could bring to the films in the future.

In the character’s background, Shadow’s desire to protect humanity stems from witnessing the death of his friend Maria at the hands of GUN.

It seems that Shadow and Sonic might team up against GUN for the same goal, but Shadow arrives without knowing Sonic’s intentions and is worried, having just experienced something traumatic.

Franchise manufacturer Toby Asche He also previously teased big things for the future of the franchise and how the films will continue to get bigger.

Asche talked about their plans for the series and then teased that the film will contain “Avengers-level events.”

He said: “We’re really excited about the idea of ​​expanding our characters into our world on television, particularly because it gives us a platform to really do character studies.”

The producer added: “We knew it, with the arrival of Shadow Sonic 3 and some of the biggest things we want to do, the Sonic franchise cinematically, are going to be these Avengers-level events.”

Knuckles will premiere on Paramount+ on April 26, while Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released in theaters on December 20th.
