We got to see some new footage from Universal Pictures’ upcoming action-adventure film Twister! The footage was screened at CinemaCon 2024 and we were there to witness the tornado madness! Here is our reaction!
It looks like this movie will provide some incredibly fun times at the movies! The movie is what it is and if you’re willing to embrace the wild ride it will take you on… great!

This is a current chapter of the 1996 blockbuster, Twister, and movie stars Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper, “a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens in the safety of New York City. She is lured to the open plains by her friend Javi to test a revolutionary new tracking system.
This is where he meets Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), “the charming and reckless social media superstar who enjoys posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.”
The synopsis continues, “As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler, and their competing teams find themselves directly in the path of multiple storm systems converging on central Oklahoma in the fight for their lives. “
Twisters is also the protagonist Antonio Ramos (In the heights) in the role of Javi, alongside David Corenswet (Superman: Legacy), Brandon Perea (No), Sasha Lane (American honey), Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders), Kiernan Shipka (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nik Dodani (Atypical) AND Maura Tierney (Beautiful boy).
The film will be released in theaters on July 19, 2024!
