Rare sealed copy of classic NES game CASTLEVANIA sells for over $90,000

The classic 1986 Nintendo Entertainment System video game, Castlevania, is one of my favorite games ever. I have fond memories of playing this game with my friends when I was a child.

A rare sealed copy of Castlevania recently sold for $90,100 on eBay after a bidding war that started at $37,000. The original sticker price of $27.87 was still printed on the box!

The eBay seller described the game as a “high quality grail” in mint condition since first production. The game is believed to be from an estate sale in Texas. The seller is located in Frisco, Texas.

This copy of Castlevania could be the most expensive video game ever sold on eBay. After losing the bid, Grailmonster said on Instagram: “Win some, lose some.”

He added: “Congratulations to the winner (I know him and he deserved it much more than me). I’m curious to see the future of this piece. It’s a $250,000 flip, in my opinion. As far as I know, this is the maximum that a rough game has.” never sold.”

The winner of the auction is a collector named Tom Curtin, who shared on social media: “The search is over after 23 years. I have resigned myself to never being able to add this Grail after years of searching.”

He continued: “But this week everything fell into place for me and a childhood friend, as we managed to get this absolute beauty. This was the first game my mother ever bought me.

And he adds: “I still remember the phone call we made to buy it. It’s a key memory, as it was last week. A couple more plane rides, but this beautiful first printing of the Castlevania card is almost home.”

It’s really damn wild! It would be great to own, but having the original game already open is enough for me!
