President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has revealed a new logo for the Lightning* title of the film, and it came with an interesting little change… they added an asterisk to it.
When Feige revealed the title, he said, “Yes, you’ll notice the asterisk Lightning*. This is the official title of Lightning* and we won’t talk about it again until the movie comes out.”
It will be interesting to find out what this means. At the moment, fans can only speculate because Feige hasn’t offered any further details.
The film is currently filming in Atlanta, and Florence Pugh previously shared a video from the set of the film offering a small preview.
The cast of Lightning* includes Sebastiano Stan as Bucky Barnes, Davide Porto in the role of the Red Guardian, Julie Louis-Dreyfus as Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as a US agent, Hannah John-Kamen in the role of Ghost, Lewis Pullmann like The Sentinel, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
There are no confirmed details regarding the film’s story, but there have been a few rumors that offer some things we could expect.
The film is directed by Jake Schreier (Paper cities, joke) and was written by Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow) AND Kurt Busiek.
Lightning* it is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
