Actor Joseph Quinn was made famous by his unforgettable season of Stranger thingsand now he has a major role in the MCU in the next Marvel movie, The fantastic Four, in which he will play Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. He will be joined by Pedro Pasquale (The last of us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, as well Giulia Garnerwho will play the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer.
Quinn was asked about joining the MCU during his recent panel at Facts Comic-Con in Belgium, and he shared his enthusiasm for the project and director Matt Shakman’s vision for these classic Marvel characters.
“I’m really excited! I still can’t believe it, it’s crazy. We have a great group. When I spoke to Matt, the director, he had a brilliant vision for this, and for the group we have, it was an easy decision. I absolutely wanted to be part of it.
When he was preparing for the part, Quinn joked, “I’m really going to set myself on fire… every day.” The audience appreciated her humor, which you can see in the video below.
THE Fantastic 4 will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
