Joseph Quinn he is best known now for his role as the heroic character Eddie Munson Stranger thingsand will soon be synonymous with Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in the MCU reboot The fantastic Four. But according to the actor, a few years ago he was in the running to play another Marvel superhero which could have been his big break.
In an old interview with BuzzFeed who’s making the rounds again (via CB), Quinn said he was once up for the role of Spider-Man. Although the spot went to fellow Brit Tom Holland, Quinn said he auditioned for the role.
We don’t know how far he’s gotten in the process, but it seems like everything went well. Holland is a fantastic Spider-Man and Quinn was the best Eddie Munson we could have asked for.
As for his role in The fantastic FourQuinn says the movie promises to be “crazy.”
“It’s crazy. I’m really excited! I still can’t believe it. We have an amazing group,” actor Quinn said during a convention appearance earlier this month. “When I talked to Matt, the director, he had a brilliant vision for this film, and for the group we have, it was an easy decision. I absolutely wanted to be a part of it.”
The fantastic Four will be released on July 25, 2025.
