First Look at Photos from Universal Studios’ Epic Universe HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON World of the Isle of Berk

Universal Studios has released some first photos of their upcoming Epic Universe, How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk. The new land, based on the DreamWorks animated franchise, allows this
guests will see what it’s like to live among dragons and explore an extraordinary, Viking-influenced world of immense architecture with hand-carved details, lush landscapes, rolling hills surrounding vibrant dragon homes and locally themed establishments. Universal promises that “everywhere guests look within the bustling village, they will find endless activity – from dragons active in their natural habitats to sheep attempting to disguise themselves.”

Specific attractions include:

  • Hiccup’s Wing Gliders – A thrilling roller coaster for the whole family where Hiccup invites the brave new Vikings on a ride
    rides his latest glider: a winged flying machine that launches would-be Dragon Riders
    in the sky for a dragon’s eye view of Berk. Guests will fly along with Hiccup and Toothless and
    they reach speeds of up to 45 mph as they fly over the perimeter of Berk – and even across the lagoon – while experiencing firsthand what it’s like to fly on a dragon.

  • The Untrainable Dragon – Inspired by Universal Beijing Resort’s popular “Untrainable”.
    show, this dragon-filled live show takes guests on a journey with Hiccup, Toothless, Gobber and Astrid as they work together to solve the mystery of the Unfit Dragon. The story includes musical numbers, specially constructed sets and life-size dragons soaring overhead.

  • Fyre Drill – The mischievous Viking twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut invite teams of Vikings to compete
    outdo and defeat each other in this wet and wild boat battle. Guests will board a colorful
    dragon-headed boat and blast water cannons at flame-like targets to practice putting out fires – a
    Crucial skill to master when living with dragons.

  • Dragon Racer’s Rally – Berk’s new Vikings racers can practice high-speed, aerobatic maneuvers
    the barrel rolls on two Viking-made dragon trainers that reach heights up to 67 feet in the air. Guests can control how “wild” or “light” their experience will be as they perform the high-flying, gravity-defying, diving and soaring maneuvers needed to earn accolades and become a dragon racing champion.

  • Viking Training Camp – Young Vikings can learn about dragons as they climb, slide and explore through this expansive interactive playground featuring a Viking agility course, a Toothless-themed swing, Gronckle baby dragon climbers and more .

  • Meet Hiccup and Toothless – Guests can visit the Haddock paddock for an experience meeting the heroic Dragon Rider, Hiccup, and pose for a photo with his friendly Night Fury, Toothless. And during the day, guests can also meet other familiar Vikings and dragons as they explore Berk.

Universal Epic Universe is a radically transformative theme park experience that will completely immerse you
guests in beloved intergenerational stories that give them the chance to be the epic heroes of their own adventures.

The lands are set within the “breathtaking gardens at the heart of the epic universe” and begin with Celestial Parkthe first meeting of the visitors of the world, which serves as a portal to the other four – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic; The world of Super Nintendo; How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk; AND Dark universe.
