According to a new report, Marvel Studios is still working on the sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and there are some interesting new details included in the report.
According to a Hollywood insider Daniele Richtmannthe film is currently titled Shang-Chi and the Shipwreck of Time, and production will begin next year. It has also been reported that the story will involve time travel and that Iron Fist will also be included in the story.
We’re not sure what version of Iron Fist we’ll see if this is true, but I think it’s safe to say that it won’t be Finn Jones’ Danny Rand.
These are just rumors, but the source has a solid track record. However, things can easily change between now and the time the movie actually starts shooting.
To the previous question about Shang-Chi and when we might see the character again, he recites Simu Liu he said, “Oh man, I don’t know to be honest. I mean, those things are so above my pay grade. I just want to continue to be a fan of it. You know, when I get a call like, ‘Hey, this is where you’re at and this is where you’re going to show up. And this is where you’re going to need to be obscured.'”
He added, “That’s generally what tends to happen. But you know, Destin is a really special director and we’re very happy to have him on the sequel. So, he’s going to work on this and we’re really happy to have him.” I’m excited to see what he comes up with. I think he’ll do a brilliant job.”
Liu also shared, “There are a lot of ideas that we had in the opening, and some of these ideas are asked as questions, by the end of our film. There are things that we potentially want to explore in the future. Everything changes so much, so it’s difficult say how many of these ideas will actually make it to the finish line, but there are a lot of them there.”
I liked the first movie! It was a lot of fun and I think the sequel could be even better now that the story can move forward from the origin story.
