Sony Pictures has revealed the official title of Venom 3 Venom: The Last Dance. They also announced that the film’s release date has been moved from November 8, 2024 to October 25 and will be shown in IMAX and on PLF.
Poison 3 is directed by Kelly Marcel (Fifty Shades of Gray). He also wrote and produced the first two Venom films. The screenplay for this third film is based on a story he developed with Hardy.
There are no details to share regarding the story, but co-star Temple of Juno teased the film, saying, “I’m learning a lot. It’s fun and interesting, because there are so many things that you film that when the movie finally comes out they’ll look different than they did when we were shooting them. I’m excited to see the creations that they also happen off camera.”
Hardy also explained in a previous interview: “These things [usually] come three of you. If there is going to be a new one – and they are highly dependent on the success of each one, so you can’t count on them happening again – each one has to be as if it were the last. But I think it’s really important, if you go into something, to think that one, two and three are the same thing… the same story, the same movie. Lest you be surprised to suddenly have to make a third out of nothing. There has to be some continuity between the third, fourth and fifth, and if someone says “no”, that’s fine. Let it go and you’ll move on to something else.”
The film is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy PascalAND Hutch Parker.
