The 1984 mockumentary This is the spinal tap is a one-of-a-kind classic comedy that fans have loved revisiting over the years. Now we’re getting a sequel, complete with the original cast including it Christopher Guest, Michael McKean AND Harry Shearerall reprising their roles from the heavy metal comedy band, Spinal Tap.
Rob Reiner will also return as the film’s director, as will documentary filmmaker Martin “Marty” DiBergi on the film. The film will feature cameos from musicians Elton John, Paul McCartney, This love, Garth Brooks AND Trisha Yearwood.
It was announced a few months ago that the sequel would go into production this year, and now the film is currently filming in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Guest, McKean, Reiner and Shearer conceived the sequel, which after a 15-year hiatus, will see England’s loudest and most punctual band reunite for one final concert.
