Deadpool and Wolverine promises to provide all kinds of cameos from all parts of the Marvel films made over the years. So many names of actors and characters have been reported, rumored and speculated, but one character and actor we can cross off the list is Vinnie Jones.
Jones played the mutant Juggernaut X-Men: The Last Standand was actually asked to appear in the third Dead Pool movie! Unfortunately, she turned down the opportunity due to her costume experience during the making X-Men 3. During an interview with Yahoo UK, he explained:
“The strange thing is, I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new movie, and I talked to the director and said it’s really dramatic to wear that costume both mentally and physically. I mean, it took its toll even at mental level, because you…” you’re inside and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn’t make a deal for Deadpool. “
It would have been great to see Jones back as Juggernaut! It’s a shame that they couldn’t reach an agreement. But the fact that he was approached tells us to what extent the director Shawn Levy and the creative team is willing to bring back familiar Marvel movie faces from the older films.
In the film, “After facing some professional setbacks while going through a mid-life crisis. Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman. But when his friends, his family, and the entire world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas back into retirement. He recruits a reluctant and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival, but, ultimately, their legacy.
It is also explained: “That damn irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”
The film is the protagonist Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as the evil Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggam in the role of blind Al. They are united by Brianna HildebrandAND Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. Rob Delaney he will return as Peter and Jennifer Garner she will return as Elektra in the film.
Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters July 26th!
