Director Zack Snyder spent a lot of time teasing the two’s extended R-rated cuts Rebel moon film he made for Netflix. The original cut of Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire it was already released last year, with the sequel Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargivercoming in April this year.
Snyder has now revealed when we can expect the extended cuts of these films to drop, telling The Minutemen: “They’ll be coming out, probably, the same day, later. We don’t have a date yet, but I think it’s going to happen.” be in the summer.”
He added, “They are each about an hour longer than the original, the PG-13 [versions]. So it will be nice to see the six hours together. You can take a break, of course. It is a more, perhaps, engaging experience. I care that people see it that way. It’s very adult, it’s very R-rated.”
Yep, get ready for six hours of Rebel moon! The first film looked visually interesting, but the story and screenplay could use some work.
Producer Deborah Snyder they previously talked about the extensive cuts and explained that this is something they were actually able to plan for this time: “The difference [this time] it’s that we planned it… it’s not an afterthought. We’re still making changes, but they’ll probably be 45 minutes to an hour longer each. Get more character. You get much more of everything. It’s not just some deleted scenes.”
In the story, a ragtag group of rebels rises up to fight against a giant, evil empire. It is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant.
