Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire! The trailer offers lots of new footage and new story insights as all the ghosts captured by the Ghostbusters are released into New York City. This is obviously reminiscent of the first film, when their containment unit is shut down and suffers a meltdown. The circumstances are completely different, however.
There is a lot of excitement for this film among fans and it looks like director Gil Kenan has made a fantastic film that will be a lot of fun to watch! An international trailer was also recently released which you should watch if you haven’t already! You can watch it here.
In the story, New York City finds itself frozen by an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! “The Spengler family returns to where it all began, the iconic New York firehouse, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research laboratory to take ghost busting to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, the old and new Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitmann he is the screenwriter and executive producer of the new film. The film is also the protagonist Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjianicomic James AcasterAND Emily Alyn Lind they joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn WolfhardAND McKenna Grace. Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd AND Ernie Hudson they are back in action too with Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz preparing for some ghost-busting action.
The film is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024.
