Wiip has acquired the rights to Little white lies YA novels by Jennifer Lynn Barnesand will develop the stories into a TV series. Little white lies takes place during rookie season, and is a mystery series about a teenager from the wrong side of the street who agrees to live with her estranged maternal grandmother and do rookie year, but only because she’s determined to figure out which scion of Southern high society is his biological father.

Wiip’s Paul Lee, Mark Roybal and Nate Winslow will executive produce alongside Barnes and A star was born executive producer Heather Parry, who brought the project to the studio.

Bestselling author Barnes’ first published novel was written when she was a teenager, and over the next twenty years, her more than 20 YA novels have been published in more than thirty languages ​​around the world. This includes the Little white lies Continuation, Small deadly scandals.

A Fulbright Scholar with advanced degrees in psychology, psychiatry, and cognitive science, Barnes earned his Ph.D. from Yale University in 2012. She was a tenured professor of psychology and writing before leaving academia to focus full-time on creating young adult media properties that foster fandom.
