Paramount+ is moving forward with something new Ray Donovan spin-off series titled The Donovans with Guy Ritchie set to direct and executive produce. The new ten-episode series will be written by The best guy Creator Ronan Bennett.
The Donovans seems perfect for Ritchie and his style. The series follows “two generations of gangsters, the businesses they run, the complex relationships they forge and the man they turn to to solve their problem.”
With the most powerful clients in Europe, “The Donovans will see the family’s fortunes and reputation at risk, strange alliances develop and betrayals around every corner; and while the family may be London’s elite today, the nature of their business means there is no guarantee of what will happen tomorrow.”
Chris McCarthy, President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios said in a statement: “Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett are the ideal dream team to create a new global hit franchise with The Donovans. Guy’s compelling and elegant directorial approach, combined with Ronan’s captivating and brutally authentic writing, will draw audiences into a wild and twisted world full of new adventures.”

The Donovans will debut on Paramount+ for Paramount+ plan subscribers with Showtime later this year. As a fan of the original series, I can’t wait to see this new show!
