Sony’s Screen Gems has acquired the rights to an unpublished story written by Joe Hill titled UshersAND Gary Daubermann (En: Chapter 1, En: Chapter 2) will develop and produce the film with Zak Olkewicz writing the screenplay.
Now there are details to share about the story, but with Hill and Dauberman involved, we know it will end up being a horror film.
Dauberman is currently developing a few other projects, including a live-action Disney adaptation Gargoyleand an adaptation of the hit horror video game Until dawn. We’re also waiting for Warner Bros. to finally release its adaptation of Stephen King’S Salem’s Lot.
