I have a teaser trailer here for you to watch for a new twisted horror film titled LAUGHwhich is said to take audiences on “a visceral journey into the depths of desperation and moral ambiguity”.
The story follows Peter Collymore, “a former Afghan war hero turned leading man. We see Peter’s struggles with his PTSD in close-up, his silenced skeletons hidden far away in his closet. All the while he faces the loss of his son, a divorce, his unfair rival actor, his drug-addicted father, and last but not least, a demonic entity called “Calypso” who wants nothing more than to possess Peter’s soul.
It definitely feels like a dark and disturbing film. The film comes from the director Pietro Antonio who says, “LAUGH It is intended for a mature audience. It is a dark, horror-focused psychological thriller that follows one man’s path to madness. It plays on the ancient human condition of choosing Good versus Evil. Each of us has a mix of both, as well as these deep characters. Their choices about what and how much shape the ever-meandering plot.
Movie stars Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie’s, Friday the 13th part VII), Pietro Antonio (Vengeance 2 – Bloodlines, The Fall of the Blood of the Camp), Jon A. Ravenholt (Friday the 13th Vendetta, Under three moons), AND Sanae Loutsis (The death of Snow White, the black thread).
LAUGH will be released in 2025.
