Marvel will scale back Kang’s role in the MCU and AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY will have a new title

The next Avengers The movie Marvel is developing is undergoing big changes behind the scenes. According to a recent report from THR, Marvel Studios is working on the rewrite Avengers: The Kang Dynasty“which will now downplay the character or eliminate him completely.”

It was also reported that the film’s title will be changed to remove mention of Kang, who was portrayed in the MCU by Jonathan Majors.

None of this is surprising. I think most Marvel fans expected this to happen after Majors was fired from Marvel when he was found guilty of third degree reckless assault and harassment.

Many fans were hoping to see Doctor Doom emerge as Marvel’s next big bad, especially with Fantastic Four coming next year, which will set up the villain. Or maybe even Galactus, who would be one of the villains par excellence.

The creator of Marvel Loki series, Michele Waldronhe was hired to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty as well as Avengers: Secret Wars.

This was also said Sam Raimi he was considered a possible director for the two Avengers movie later Destin Daniel Cretton abandoned.

Avengers: Kang Dynasty the release date is May 1, 2026, which gives Waldron and Marvel more than enough time to figure things out. The film will precede Avengers: Secret Wars which will be released on May 7, 2027.
