The SPIDER-VERSE Producer Is Trying to Make a BATMAN BEYOND Animated Movie at WB and Here Are Some Cool Illustrations

Batman Beyond has a large and loyal fan base that has been wanting to see a film adaptation for years. Well, writer, director Patrick Harpin (My father the bounty hunter) and set designer and producer Yuhki Demers (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse AND Through the Spider-Verse) have teamed up to pitch an animated Batman Beyond film to Warner Bros.!

They made their first initial pitch several months ago and are still trying to get the film made. They also shared some illustrations for their slideshow on Instagram and it’s awesome! In the images, we see Terry McGinnis in Neo-Gotham and facing off against the villain Inque, who hails from the original show. The art came with the following details:

5 months ago we joined @wbpictures @DCofficial and debuted an animated Batman Beyond film.

Before the presentation, they warned us “there is absolutely no way to make a 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 film”, but they appreciated our enthusiasm. We mapped out the outline for the entire film, and what started out as a “never” turned into a “maybe.”

Since then, we’ve worked our way up the company hoping to land at @jamesgunn. But for now, here’s a taste of what we cooked.

It’s great to see that they’ve actually made some progress in this regard, but it seems like they still have a long way to go. I’ll tell you what, WB and DC Studios would be stupid not to! It would be a great success. I know fans were hoping for a live-action adaptation of Batman Beyond, but I think a high-quality animated film would be much more awesome, especially considering what’s being done these days with animation.

I’m looking at this art and would love nothing more than to see this movie made! Check it out!
