Comic-Con International is expanding into the cruise industry with Comic-Con: The Cruise, created in collaboration between convention organizers and Royal Caribbean.
The cruise will take place February 5-9, 2025, and will feature both guests and attractions you might find at a regular comic convention. The cruise itself is an independent event from Comic-Con, International, and is a licensed event utilizing a whole-ship charter aboard Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas.
The event description reads: “Prepare to set sail on an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime where you will immerse yourself in the world of popular arts like never before. Comic-Con: The Cruise is an official licensee of Comic-Con International and is thrilled to be part of the Comic-Con brand. This 4-day sea adventure takes place aboard a luxury cruise ship and blends the iconic Comic-Con experience with an unforgettable and unique cruise adventure focused on fan!”
Rooms start at $990 for the four-day cruise for two guests. Two additional guests are allowed in the smaller rooms for an additional fee of $600. This is a fee that increases depending on the level of room or suite you book, and some of them are quite expensive.
Some of the celebrity guests that have been announced are Warwick Davis, Ernie Hudson, Giorgio Takei, Mary McDonnell, Felicia Day, Michele TruccoAND Robb Pearlmann. Additional guests are expected to be announced at a later date.
