Beau Bridges is set to take on a major recurring role in upcoming CBS episodes Matlock reboot of the series. It will join Kathy Bates and is replacing Jamey Sheridan, who was previously cast in the series.
Bates plays the role of Madeline “Matty” Matlock on the show, “a brilliant septuagenarian who achieved success as a young woman and decides to re-enter the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and cunning tactics to win the cases. . Matty is assigned to Olympia (Skye P. Marshall), a seasoned lawyer and a major rainmaker thirsty for justice. Olympia’s ex-husband Julian (Jason Ritter), the son of the company boss (Bridges), is intrigued by Matty and his intelligent abilities.
Bridges plays Senior, “the firm’s managing partner who has an indomitable presence that immediately alters the temperature of any room. This man’s influence reaches far and wide and, although she loves his son, Julian, she might respect his daughter-in-law, Olympia.
The series comes from Jennie Snyder Urman and even stars Davide Del Rio AND Leah Lewis. It will debut in 2024-25.
