He announced it recently Prey director Dan Trachtenberg is developing a new standalone Predator film entitled Badlands. Now The Mandalorian AND Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff wants to participate in the film!
The fan-favorite actress began X to share a new report on the film, which reads: “BADLANDS will be a Predator movie set in the future with a female protagonist.” Sackhoff included the following caption in the post:
“Please oh please let it be me!!! I feel uniquely qualified to kick the ass of the Predators 😱❤️”
Yes, I’d say she’s definitely uniquely qualified to star in a Predator movie like this. She would be really great in this kind of role! She has appeared in her fair share of sci-fi projects over the years and her fans would love to see her in a Predator movie.
But we have no idea what Trachtenberg’s vision for the film or the main character is. She may not fit any of the characters she created for this film.
The director will write and direct the film and shooting will take place later this year. Badlands is a top priority for 20th Century Studios and it’s explained that Trachtenberg is already meeting talent for the lead role.
Badlands it is not a sequel to Prey. That film is still in the works and is the star of the film Amber Halftone is expected to return, but no talent is officially attached to the sequel yet.
