FX’s hit series THE BEAR will return for its third season this June

FX’s hit series The bear is fresh off his six Emmy wins this awards season, including the award for Best Comedy Series, Comedy Actor (Jeremy Allen White), Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Ayo Edebiri) and supporting actor in a comedy (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), as well as awards for comedy writing and directing. Now they continue full steam ahead, with season three premiering this June. White, Edebiri, and the series overall took home top honors at both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, and Moss-Bachrach also took home a Critics Choice Award.

FX president John Landgraf announced the news during the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association’s 2024 winter press tour. Landgraf had few details to share about the season, however, when asked if he could say whether the show would bring in as many high-profile guest stars as it did in season two, he joked, “Unfortunately, I can’t. I was as surprised as you were when the Christmas episode arrived at the door.”

Landgraf, however, spoke about the show’s release strategy, saying he had “no doubt” that Hulu will continue to release all episodes on a day rather than weekly basis. “It was not lost on me or anyone who worked on the show that it was a source of anxiety,” he said. “So we decided to leave it at that because it has a beautiful, uplifting ending.”

Talking with Variety in December, White said he hadn’t read any scripts yet, but would soon begin prepping for season three: “I know I’ll be spending a fair amount of time in January meeting with some chefs. I believe there will be a set menu for the restaurant in season three. And I know I’m going to start putting that menu together with different chefs. We all did a lot of preparation before the first season. I went to culinary school and spent a lot of time in restaurants. And then for season two, it was largely about putting the restaurant together, so there wasn’t a lot of cooking. But now, in season three, I think we’re going back to that working kitchen atmosphere that we had in season one.”

I can’t wait to see the next season of this amazing show!
