The film is a road trip detective comedy starring Margaret Qualley, Pedro Pasquale, Matt DamonAND Geraldine Viswanathan. If you like the types of films made by the Coen brothers, then this is a film you will definitely enjoy.
The story centers on Jamie, “an uninhibited free spirit lamenting yet another breakup with a girl, and his reserved friend Marian who desperately needs to relax. Seeking a new beginning, the two take an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they encounter a group of inept criminals along the way.
Coen directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Tricia Cooke. Coen described the film as “lousy fun” and a “movie of intrigue and chase. In a word, it’s a comedy.” He added: “It’s the kind of movie where the plot is fun.”
Coen also talked about the film’s cast, saying, “The actors sink their teeth into it and have fun and go to town.” Speaking about Pascal in the film, Cooke said: “He’s fascinating to watch and the upward trajectory of him. Everyone was talking about him right after we finished shooting.”
The film will be released on February 23, 2024.
