Liam Neeson has made another action thriller! It is entitled In the land of saints and sinners and plays a hitman in the film. A new trailer for the film has been released and it’s pretty strange that Neeson is still making this kind of movie! I wonder what his career would have been like if he hadn’t acted Takenbecause that was the movie that led him down the rabbit hole of action movies that he hasn’t emerged from since.
In any case, this movie looks really good! Much better than many other action films Neeson has made over the years.
The film is set in Ireland in the 1970s. “Eager to put his dark past behind him, Finbar Murphy leads a quiet life in the remote coastal town of Glencolmcille, far from the political violence that grips the rest of the country. When a menacing team of terrorists arrives [to town], led by a ruthless woman named Doirean, Finbar soon discovers that one of them has been abusing a young local girl. Caught in an increasingly vicious game of cat and mouse, Finbar must choose between revealing his secret identity or defending his friends and neighbors.”
In the land of saints and sinners is directed by Roberto Lorenz (Problems with the curve AND The Marksman) and is also the protagonist Kerry Condon, Jack Gleeson, Colm Meaney, Ciaran HindsAND Sarah Greene.
In the land of saints and sinners will be released in select US theaters starting March 29, 2024.
