Husband and wife, and longtime actors, Kevin Bacon AND Kyra Sedwick will reunite on screen for the upcoming film Connectionwritten and directed by King of queens Creator Michael J. Weithorn. Principal photography began this week, with Bacon and Sedgwick playing the leads, joined by others white lotus star Brittany O’Grady and nominated for an Oscar The Fabelmans actor Judd Hirsch.
In the film, “Bacon plays Stan Olszewski, a sharp, funny but chronically underachieving security guard who stops a robbery attempt at the home of Cynthia Rand (Sedgwick), a successful urologist married to the brilliant former Watergate prosecutor Warren Rand (Judd Hirsch). From this chance meeting is born a charged and dynamic friendship – first as late-night texting sessions filled with humor and intimate revelations, then transforming into something that shakes the foundations of their lives.”
Bacon and Sedgwick, who married in 1988 and have two children, including the actor Sosie BaconThey haven’t acted together since 2004, when they both starred Cavedweller AND The Woodsman. Bacon has directed Sedgwick ever since Lover and Sedgwick directed Bacon Space oddity, while the pair have garnered numerous gongs for the likes of roles The closest AND Seize the opportunity.
Sedgwick and Bacon said of the project: “We are so thrilled to be working together on screen again for the first time in 20 years on such a funny, moving and original script.” Hill added: “We are excited and excited to bring this timely, funny and heartwarming story to life with such a stellar cast.”
This sounds like a great movie for the two of them. I’m a huge fan of theirs and can’t wait to try it.
