Rian Johnson is looking to start filming KNIVES OUT 3 this year

He looks like the director Ryan Johnson he’s trying to shoot Knives out 3 within this year. The director is writing and directing the sequel, which will be featured once again Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc trying to solve another twisty Whodunnit murder mystery.

The news comes from Deadline in a report focused on the manufacturer Katie McNeil (Blue Valentine AND The zookeeper’s wife) as it joins Ram Bergmann AND Rian Johnson’s independent studio T-Street. In recent months, the company has produced projects such as Poker face, Correctness AND American fiction.

Johnson and Bergman said in a statement: “Our approach to films is the same as when we made Brick. Finding great people to work with who are talented and fun to be around. Katie is that and more and we are so excited to to do it”. welcome her to the team.”

McNeill added: “I’ve been a fan of Rian and Ram’s work since Brick, and I admire what they’ve built together. They’ve created impressive work while supporting some of the most inspiring filmmakers in the industry. I’m deeply grateful for the trust they have in me and I am honored to join their team.”

When previously offering an update on Knives out 3, Johnson said: “It’s coming. Obviously I couldn’t work during the strike, and now that it’s over I’m diving in full force, and so it’s coming. I have the premise, I have the setting, I have the movie in my head. It’s just a matter of writing the damn thing.

It looks like Johnson is doing just that, and if it’s filmed this year, we can expect it to be released in 2025.
