Intriguing trailer for the crime thriller SLEEPING DOGS starring Russell Crowe and Karen Gillan

An interesting trailer of the thriller has been released Dogs sleepinghero Russell Crowe as a homicide detective who is dealing with memory loss following surgery. He decides to revisit an old case to sharpen his skills and keep his mind clear during his recovery, and realizes that he may have had the wrong person responsible for the murder all along. Crowe joins the cast of Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), Marton Csókás (The Lord of the Rings), Thomas M. Wright (At the top of the lake), Harry Greenwood (Hacksaw ridge), AND Tommy Flanagan (Sons of anarchy).

The film is an adaptation of EO Chirovici critically acclaimed novel The Book of Mirrorsand the screenplay is written by Adam Cooper AND Bill Collage (Assassin’s Creed, Exodus: Gods and Kings). Cooper also directed the film in his directorial debut.

The synopsis reads:

“In the wake of a cutting-edge cure for Alzheimer’s, Crowe’s character, a former homicide detective, is tasked with re-examining a brutal murder case from his past: the horrific murder of a college professor (Csokas) . Struggling to regain his memory, the detective asks his former partner for help to revive the investigation. They encounter a magnetic and mysterious woman (Gillan), a tangle of contradictions and secrets, and a horrifying reality that changes the detective’s worldview in the blink of an eye.
