THE POLAR EXPRESS Producer Says Sequel Is In The Works And Wants A Sequel To WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

According to the manufacturer Gary Goetzmanna sequel to the 2004 Christmas film The Polar Express is in the works. He also mentions his interest in making a sequel to 2009 Where the wild things are and a third Oh mama movie. None of these projects have been officially greenlit, but they are projects he will push for. He revealed this information during a recent interview with CB, which he was asked about The Polar Express 2and he said:

“Listen, I would love to,” Goetzman said of Polar Express 2. “I would love to do a sequel to Where the Wild Things Are. There’s a lot of the things that we’ve done, if it’s established, it’s established, those movies, the movie studios want another one. That’s how it goes. I’m ready for Mamma Mia 3, man. It would be something to do right now. But the question becomes, “Who would own the art?” Would be?” It’s not just, ‘Hey, let’s go do some more free sailing! So, they all take time and that’s okay because we don’t mind things going slowly. But that’s trying to be resolved now, for sure, Polar 2. Yes.”

The Polar Express was directed by Roberto Zemeckis and acted Tom Hanks. It was based on Chris Van Allsburg’s 1985 children’s book of the same name. It’s a holiday favorite and I don’t think fans would be opposed to a sequel. With how much film technology has advanced since the first film, it would be interesting to see what a sequel would look like visually.

Where the wild things are it was a wonderful film and was directed by Spike Jonzeand based on the beloved children’s book by Maurizio Sendak. The film tells the story of Max, a boy with a vivid imagination who escapes into a fantasy world inhabited by gigantic, expressive creatures known as the Wild Things. Max becomes their king and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and adventure in this magical land.

As for a third Oh mama movie, my daughter would definitely love to see it happen. She has a deep love for those first two films.
