Bella Thorne will make his feature film directorial debut with the film Color your pain. The film will tell the true story of a young gay man growing up in the Bible Belt. She will direct from a screenplay she wrote and a short film she directed titled “Unsettled.”
Thorne said in a statement: “Color your pain it’s not just a script; It’s one of the most challenging projects he’s ever written. Stepping into my new role as director symbolizes the beginning of a truly impactful and exhilarating chapter in my career. I couldn’t be more honored to tell a true story that has moments I connect with deeply.
Producer David Lipper added: “Bella is incredibly talented and Bob Daly and I want to support her vision in what is a very important story that needs to be told.”
Thorne is always accepting film projects to star in, he also plays all different kinds of genres, characters and stories, and it seems like he is a very ambitious person. So, it doesn’t surprise me that he will take over directing duties on this next project.
Filming will take place in the Midwest and Italy in the spring of this year.
