Sony Pictures has announced the release of Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire has been moved up a week. The film will now be released on March 22, 2024. Not a huge leap, but hey! I’ll take it!
In the story, New York City finds itself frozen by an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all began, the iconic New York firehouse, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research laboratory to bring ghost eradication to a higher level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, the Old and Old Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife co-writer and executive producer Gil Kenan is directing the sequel, with Beyond director and co-writer Jason Reitmann serving as writer and executive producer. Movie stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjianicomic James AcasterAND Emily Alyn Lind they joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn WolfhardAND McKenna Grace. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, AND Ernie Hudson they’re all back for the new supernatural adventure too!
The film is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024.
