Some new initial concept art has emerged featuring an alternate design for Cristiano BallaMarvel’s Gorr The God Butcher Thor: Love and Thunder. Many fans didn’t really care about the character’s design in the movie. The design we see here is more in line with what we saw in the comics.
While Bale was a great character, he didn’t have the best script to work with. It’s also said that the actor’s best material in the film ended up on the cutting room floor. Some of the discarded scenes included interactions with Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum.
As for the art, it was shared by the artist Alessio Briclotwho declared: “On this I held the [actor’s] face maintaining most of the features of the comic. The two tentacles and the overall white appearance. Instead of having the character half naked exposing her musculature, I used armor for her torso to mimic her. I was also thinking about how to handle the shadow effect surrounding it. Have a practical black outfit with a hoodie and then some surreal extensions [with CGI].”
