We have a new episode of Pitch Meeting to share with you that dissects the sheer ridiculousness of DC Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. I finally got around to watching Aquaman and while he had some fun moments, he was as mediocre as I expected. I’m happy it’s over.
The pitch meeting arrived with the following note:
It’s crazy to think that in a decade we’ve seen the rise and fall of the DC Extended Universe. With occasional hits like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, accompanied by TONS of flops like Black Adam, Shazam 2, Blue Beetle, The Flash, Suicide Squad and more… this was inevitable.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom definitely raises some questions. For example, do we just Ctrl-Z the growth of Aquaman from the last film? Why does Arthur make silly noises? Where is the Justice League when you need them?
