Marvel Studios is currently developing a fourth Spiderman movie, this is a movie that is still in early development and there are a lot of things to figure out before moving into production. One of the main things they need to do is lock in a director.
Jon Watts he directed the first three films in the series, but moved to Lucasfilm to work on them Star Wars series The skeleton crewand there’s a chance Marvel won’t be able to get him back Spider-Man 4. So, the studio is now looking at possible directing candidates to fill the job.
According to Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, one of the directors Marvel is looking at Drew Goddard. Goddard is best known for directing The cabin in the woods AND Bad times at El Royale. Both are great films and I think it would be a strong choice for them Spider-Man 4but there are plenty of other directors who are sure to be in the running if Watts doesn’t return.
It wouldn’t be Goddard’s first time playing in the Marvel sandbox as he also served as an executive producer and writer at Netflix. Reckless series. He also perfected the uncredited screenplay of the first two Avengers movie.
Rumor has it that Daredevil might be involved Spider-Man 4, so bringing in Goddard seems to make a lot of sense, if that turns out to be true.
Tom Holland he talked a lot about his return Spider-Man 4 and how worried he is about it. But we all know this movie will get made regardless of what he’s saying. He’s just playing with the press.
