EXCLUSIVE: Adam Rejwan, the aspiring executive producer behind REJ Entertainment, has renamed the company Time Train, Deadline has learned.
The move comes at a time when the management and production company is taking its first steps in the latter area and offers the possibility to finance the development of selected projects through a consortium of investors with whom cooperation has begun. One of the upcoming projects is The spirit of Doheny, which tells the story of cult icon Jack Nance, the protagonist of David Lynch’s legendary feature film Eraser. Currently on pre-sale, the picture with the main role SNL Alum Bobby Moynihan as Nance and Crispin Glover as Lynch are directed by Paul Sanchez IV, a Time Train client currently in development on a TV project for Sony Gemstone.
In his early years in the industry, Rejwan worked under filmmakers such as Damon Lindelof, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec and founded the company now known as Time Train in 2016. The company values diverse talent, with LGBTQIA+, POC and/or female creatives making up approximately 70% of Rejwan’s client base. In addition to Sanchez, contributors include Elizabeth Sherman, who will serve as associate producer after moving up to executive story editor Fire in Chicago; Adult-like Writer Kyle Drew, whose screenplay made it onto the 2022 Blacklist Who made the potato salad?; Nyala Moon, who recently won Outfest’s Grand Jury Award for her short film Expand for maximum results; and Michael Gabrielle, who is now seeking producers for a feature film adaptation of his award-winning short film, Go away.
The company also represents up-and-coming composers Mondo Boys, who recently scored the Nelms Brothers’ action thriller. Red right handwith Orlando Bloom, Andie MacDowell and Garret Dillahunt as well as the Milli Vanilli documentary for Paramount+ and Gunther’s millions for Netflix, having worked on films such as Amy Seimetz She dies tomorrow.
