Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for Echo titled “Hurt” and offers a fresh look at the series using footage from Netflix Reckless series. The series centers on Maya Lopez as she “struggles to reconnect with her Native American roots while balancing aspirations of a life of crime as the successor to the brutal legacy of Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. In the first episode we are introduced to Maya Lopez and her struggles.”
Speaking previously about the series, Echo director and executive producer Sydney Freeland said, “I’ll say very big. Yes. It’s one of the key relationships in the entire series, the relationship between Kingpin and Maya. And we’ll come to find out that he becomes kind of a surrogate father to her. It’s one of the key relationships in the entire series, I will say that.”
Echo is developed by Ethan Cohen AND Emily Cohen, who are writers and executive producers of the show. The series is also the protagonist Zahn McClarnon, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Cody Lightning, Devery JacobsAND Graham Greene.
All five episodes will release on Disney+ and Hulu on April 9, 2024.
