Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming crime comedy series Killer soup, which is Netflix’s first original Hindi series of the year. The series is described as “the weirdest crime thriller of the year and the secrets are about to spill!”
The series is loosely based on the title of a real-life incident that happened in 2017, and the synopsis reads: “Swathi Shetty, a talentless home chef, hatches a bizarre plan to replace her husband, Prabhakar, with her lover, Umesh; When a bumbling inspector and some amateur crooks mix things up, things don’t go as planned and it creates a recipe for chaos.
This eight-episode series stars Manoj Bajpayee AND Konkona Sensharma and it looks like a wild and fun show!
In a recent interview Manoj said, “For the first time in my career, I will be playing a double role, both of which are distinctly different from each other. The trailer offers a glimpse into the bizarre world we’ve created against the backdrop of a sleepy city.”
The series will debut on January 11, 2024.
