The Backstreet Boys singer and his wife of 12 years, who have daughters Elliott and Lyric, announced their separation on Jan. 1.

“As you all know, we have been separated for over a year,” the two wrote in a joint statement on Instagram. “Although we hoped for reconciliation, we have decided to officially end our marriage. “It is with deep love and respect that we make this decision.”
