Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will bring together Godzilla and King Kong once again, but this time they will team up to fight a common enemy. If you’ve seen the ridiculous trailer released for the film, you’ve seen that the famous giant creatures look different.
The most notable change is Godzilla, who now has a pink glow instead of blue, which, as a longtime Godzilla fan, I think is so stupid. The trailer that was released makes the movie look ridiculous, especially when compared to the recently released one Godzilla minus onewhich was a Godzilla masterpiece.
Good, director Adam Wingard I recently talked about it with Total Film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and teased what we can expect from the two creatures in the new film. He explained that this was his chance to make his own version of Godzilla, saying:
“Particularly in the last film, I wanted Godzilla to have continuity, to be similar to King of the Monsters and Godzilla from 2014, but then I didn’t have the chance to make my version of Godzilla. So now I wanted to do different things with the thorns and trying different colors. I didn’t want it to just be random; it’s part of the story.”
He continued talking about Kong:
“And similarly with Kong, I wanted to give him some sort of new look. We made him grow a beard and gave him a little more gray hair and stuff like that.”
I’m just not a fan of what I’ve seen from the upcoming film and I haven’t liked the last few monster movies produced by Legendary Entertainment. The producers and filmmakers just don’t seem to have any respect for these characters and have belittled them so much. At least Toho continues to treat Godzilla right.
In the upcoming film, “The Epic Battle Continues! The film is the protagonist Rebecca Sala (Godzilla vs. Kong), Brian Tyree Henry (Godzilla vs. Kong), Dan Stevens (Legion), Kaylee Hottle (Godzilla vs. Kong), Alex Felci (The Batman) AND Fala Chen (Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).
