The spin-off “Batman Returns” with Catwoman had two very different settings, the screenwriter reveals

Daniel Waters, the screenwriter of 1992 batman returns said the film’s planned Catwoman spin-off had two very different versions.

He added: “The whole thing about ‘Batman Returns’ is that we were attacked by Batman fans saying, ‘It’s only the second Batman movie, what the hell are you doing?’ “They’re already going off the rails,” Waters continued. “There’s like fifty Batman movies now, so you say, ‘Hey. That was pretty interesting.'”
