Jeremy Renner has made a near-miraculous recovery over the past year, following the snowplow accident in early January, which left him with dozens of broken bones, including eight ribs, his right knee, right ankle and shoulder, as well as a collapsed lung, liver pierced by a rib and severe blood loss. He is lucky to be alive and has worked hard with physical therapy to regain the strength needed to be physically fit again.
All that work has paid off and he can return to the work he loves, acting in front of the camera again. Renner shared an Instagram post first posted by his co-star Emma Laird confirming that she and Renner will return to the set to film the third season of their Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingtown.
The post states, “Back with my favorite guy next week @jeremyrenner,” and shared a heart emoji and a photo of the pair on set.
The series, from Yellowstone Creator Taylor Sheridan,” follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series offers a raw look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a city that has neither.”
It’s great to see Renner back at work! I’m happy to see him this far on the road to recovery. Check out the post below and let us know if you can’t wait for season 3 of Mayor of Kingtownwhich will return in 2025.
