Netflix’s action thriller of 2019, Triple Frontier, was a favorite among fans. The film was written by Marco Boal (Wounded locker ) and directed by JC Chandor (A very violent year) and acted Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam AND Garrett Hedlund, which played a group of friends and former Special Forces agents who band together to take down a South American drug lord, setting off a chain of unintended consequences. It was a great movie and it looks like we’re getting another one.
In a recent interview with The Mary Sue, star Charlie Hunham revealed that he’ll be boarding the sequel as a producer this time, and told the outlet:
“Nothing guaranteed, but I recently took on the role of lead producer on a potential sequel to Triple Frontier on Netflix. So we’re working on it. It’s in its absolute infancy, but I feel like I have a lot more to say about the kind of afterlife of military personnel. I’m really confident.”
It’s good to know that Hunnam will be back producing. Hopefully this means he’ll get back to acting too. You can not wait? Triple Frontier 2?
